The Lambeau Leap

There is no better way to kick off Coak’s Corner then with a trip to Lambeau Field. I have been to a lot of stadiums, fields, and courts in my lifetime (Check out my photos). Of course, Lambeau Field was on the top ten list to visit and I can now cross that off the list!

Someone explained to me that game day in Green Bay is like “Friday night lights” only with a professional football team. The town truly shuts down. The field itself even looks like a high school field with its metal bleachers (Obviously, on a larger scale). I met several people that have had season tickets in their family since Lambeau opened its doors. Packers fans remind me of Steelers fans in the sense that they know the game and love their team. No matter the temperature, no matter, the score, they stay to the bitter end (literally, it was freezing).  The only thing I wasn’t a big fan of: there were no snacks at halftime in the press box. 🙂 Even if you aren’t a Packers’ fan you have to check out Lambeau Field.

Here’s a list of some of MY favorite places to watch sports (In no particular order):

1. Lambeau Field (Green Bay Wisconson)

2. Heinz Field (Pittsburgh)

3. Madison Square Garden (NYC)

4. Hinkle fieldhouse (Butler University in Indianapolis)

5. Assembly Hall (Indiana University in Bloomington, IN)

So what about you? What are your favorite stadiums?
